fifteen songs for self care in motherhood

The very definition of self-care is the practice of taking action to preserve or improve one's own health.

I’m sure you’ve read your fair share about self-care. How you need to do it. How it enriches your life. How it prevents stress, overwhelm, anxiety and depression. How it lets you honour what you need.

I’m not here to tell you all of that again, you can read about it here.

I know, you know but, do you do it? Do you find those moments for yourself. Do you allow yourself to play, dance and sing? Do you create moments to nourish your soul?

Today I’m sharing with you my 15 songs for self-care.

I listen to the songs because they remind me of my resilience, authenticity and purpose in life.

As part of my self-care routine I put on a song or two or three, four or five and just see where it takes me. Sometimes I listen and then journal. Sometimes I listen and then meditate. Sometimes I only have time for that single three minute song. I’m always striving to find at least one moment in each day where I can listen to at least one song as part of my self-care routine.

What is your self care routine? I would love to know.

Until next time,
